I have recalled what ever I could and provided here....

Written test had total of 31 questions and no negative marks....

ans : ptr= calloc(10, int value);

2. what will  be the output?
void increment()

Ans : free();

4. How to initialize constant pointer?

5. what is the ouput?

MICROSOFT PATTERN - 24 MAY 2008 - MUMBAI

0

Hi Friends

I m Kirti. K. Badkundri.

For all who r trying for Microsoft or any other company, My one suggestion is that be perfect in basics. If u r perfect in basics u can crack any interview. So Don't loose ur hopes if u have not got recruited still.

"NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD, BECAUSE IMPOSSIBLE ALSO SAYS THAT I M POSSIBLE"

Ok coming to the Microsoft Test conducted on 24th May 2008 in Thakur Polytechnic College in Mumbai.

It had
1] Written test
2] Group Discussion
3] Followed by Multiple Technical Rounds.

Written test was for 2 hours.
I remember only few question
1.Aptitude
2.C
3.C++
4.Datastructure
5.OS
6.Algorithms
7.RDBMS
8..Net

I don't remember questions, as I had written test a month before. How much I remember I m writing here.
1.There was question on Analytical Reasoning, which had 5 questions

2.They gave a square (5*5 square table). And told to find total number of squares.
Ans is 55=Sq(5)+Sq(4)+Sq(3)+Sq(2)+Sq(1)

3.Some Questions on Probability.

4.C paper was some what easy. Many Question were on pointers, Strings.

5.In C++ questions were on Inheritance. Some ops

6.In Data Structure they asked to write o/p of very big programs. Which was time consuming.

7.In RDBMS, some questions were on normal forms. And all Basics

8.In Os one question was on LRU Algorithms. Many Basic questions were asked. But it was some what difficult.

9..Net Questions they asked was all basics

I think around 450-500 students appeared for test, and only 50 students were short listed for GD round.

Package was 8.9 Lacks Only. So Work hard, Be perfect in Basics

TECH MAHINDRA PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 25 SEP 2008 - MUMBAI

0

Hi Friends

I am a student of B.E. (I.T.) from Atharva college of Engineering - Mumbai. Tech mahindra came to our college on 25th of September 2008.

Candidates appeared for the aptitude: 81
Candidates Cleared aptitude: 17
Finally selected after Interviews: 17

The 1st screening was done by keeping the eligibility criteria as 58%. Those below 58% were allowed to sit for the exams but even if they cleared the aptitude they were not called for interviews!

The Aptitude test was ONLINE!!. The test was reallly simple but the main constraint was TIME!!... we had to solve 100 questions in 60 mins. The procedure to be followed during the test and various details such as login_id and password were clearly explained when the panel gave their presentation. There is no Negative marking. So attempt all questions.

For clearing the aptitude R.S aggarwal Quantitative & Verbal -Nonverbal Reasoning should be solved...

The important topics that should be covered from these books are:
==Quantitative: H.C.F.and L.C.M of nos., Average, Problems on Ages, Percentage, Time and Work, Alligation or Mixture, Simple Interest, Compound  Interest, Clocks, Simplification
==Verbal and Nonverbal: series  completion, Analogy, coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Puzzle test, Data sufficiency, Logic, Statement-Conclusions, Figure matrix, Odd man Out from Image Series, series of images.

There are 6 sections
section 1=Nonverbal,
section 2=verbal reasoning,
section 3=Quantitative,
section 4,5,6 is English

There is sectional cutoff but no Upper cutoff. GUI is user friendly. Every section, after attempting should be saved otherwise the page gets refreshed and all the answers will be lost. we can change the section as and when we want but the section should be saved.

If u get a good score in ur aptitude or if u are among the Top-3 or 4 students ur technical interview will be easy.

I was asked general questions such as Tell me about urself, Why should I hire u?, What do u know about Tech Mahindra?, What are ur strengths and weaknesses? Tell me about the Projects that u did and the role played by u and other team members. Then I was told to move to the H.R. Round

In the H.R. round the interviewer asked us about our views regarding a general situation. The situation given to me was that... if i am made the college principal what are the 3 things that i would like to change?... Others were asked about MNS, and issue of north indians coming into Mumbai.

Just be confident and if u dont know something say u are not sure or say I dont know! Dont  bluff. Be thorough with ur projects and everything that u have mentioned in ur resume! If u have a gap in any of ur academic years or between the Engineering semesters... u should have a strong reason to support the gap.

Before Tech Mahindra... I had appeared for 6 other companies but somehow I couldnt even clear the aptitude.

So dont lose hope if u are still struggling with the aptitude.... its just that.. it was not ur day or something better is awaiting u!!

INFOSYS PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 13 JAN 2010 - DEHRADUN

0

Hi Friends

This is Devesh from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, recently Infosys came to our college on Jan 13th 2010. Around 385 students have appeared for the written test and 200  students got cleared their written test and 161 students finally selected for Infosys.

Friends just follow my suggestions you can easily crack the Infosys interview.  Luckily I also got selected in Infosys.

First of all they will go for PPT (Pre  Placement Talk), in which they will tell you about Infosys and your career  growth. After that they will make you sit in the classrooms and distribute HR  forms, it’s very easy and even self explanatory so fill it very carefully using  BLUE or BLACK BALL POINT PEN in BLOCK LETTERS. Don’t bother about this there  will be people available from Infosys who will tell you how to fill the form.  ($TIP$ try fill this form quickly as they will start the test in 10mins).

There are 2 rounds in all.

1)    Written Test

a)     Reasoning part (30 ques in 40 min) VERY EASY.

i)         Puzzle (5 ques).  (Tough, attempt it at the last).

ii)      Data sufficiency (5 ques)

iii)     Picture puzzle (5 ques). VERY EASY, start from this only.

iv)    Data Interpretation (5 ques)

v)     Syllogism (5 ques)

vi)    Puzzle (5 ques). (Easy, generally on blood relation).

b)     Verbal part (40 ques in 35 min) TOUGH, TIME MANAGEMENT IS REQUIRED.

i)         2 long reading  comprehension (10 ques)

ii)      Sentence Completion (8 ques)

iii)     Underlined part (i.e. sentence correction 8 ques)

iv)    Re-phrasing part (i.e. sentence correction again 8 ques)

v)     Critical reasoning (6 ques)

First they will start with reasoning  test, try to solve it in this order, first picture puzzle or DS or syllogism  then DI then go for last puzzle, and at last solve 1st puzzle. After  40 min they start collecting reasoning question paper and will ask you start  with verbal test.

In Verbal test NEVER start with RC,  first try to solve underlined part, re-phrasing part and sentence completion  then critical reasoning then RC. In this part time management is very  important.

There is no negative marking so attempt  all the questions but don’t mark same options if you are going for fluke,  because my friend lost due to this only. They don’t check your copy if they  feel that you have marked fluke a lot.

Then after 3 hrs the names of those  students who have cleared written test was started to be called out. Then form  385 students, 200 got selected for the HR Interview.

HR round: the basic questions like tell me about yourself, why Infosys, your  family background n questions based on your strengths, weakness n hobbies n  final year projects. No technical questions were being asked. Just prepare for your  hobbies n strengths properly, and you should have examples to quote at that  time.

They can also ask you about your final  year project, you should have a good knowledge of it. They also gave me puzzle  which I was not able to solve... but not to worry... Even if you give a wrong  answer, just explain them your logic.

And during whole interview try to smile  n be confident n just say “AAL IS WELL” when you start feeling nervous... ok.  And at the end they will ask you that if you want to ask any thing to them do  prepare 2 or 3 questions to ask them like what are the chances of my growth... or  any such other questions...

Friends I have taken pain to write all  these for you because I want you all to know... by doing silly mistakes how we  can lose a lot. Friends if any of You got selected because of my suggestions  please just give me a mail to: devesh_gupta06@yahoo.com

Friends while answering any question  think for 5 seconds don’t reply without thinking. Remember that 5 seconds will  change your life. Don’t reply that my aim is CAT, MBA, GRE all that sort of  nonsense... 5 seconds have decided my life. Don’t allow those 5 seconds to  dictate you... bye my dear friends... ALL THE BEST. JUST BELIEVE IN GOD... KEEP  SMILING. IT’S MUST FOR ANY INTERVIEW.

TCS PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 29 AUG 2010 - CHENNAI
Hi Friends

TCS conducted a recruitement drive on 29th Aug at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College-Tambaram-Chennai

The Selection process is as follows :
1. WrittenTest
2. Technical & HR interview

Written Test :
The written test pattern of TCS is not as the old one... it had been changed. It is an online test with 35 Questions and 1 hour time.

The questions are from Aptitude and Critical reasoning..

The Aptitude questions are easy & the Critical Reasoning are some what tricky... but no problem you can solve....

One more thing is.. the questions are not straight farward.. they will give 10 lines for each question with unnecessary data... You have to find out the necessary statements and solve.

Solution is easy... just read the last 3 or 4 lines definitely you will get an idea about the question........

Dont waste your time by reading all the question.. be carefull..

Interview :
me: excuse me sir may I come in
hr: come in...take your seat
me: Thank you sir
hr: well, Hemadri tell me about your self
me: told abt my studies, hobies, about family....etc

hr: ok, Hemadri.. what do you think the main reason for the software up and downs

me: I think the crises in the economy of the world

hr: ok... I agree that one but how can you manage your company at top position even in the crises also

me: no word to say.. I think its the final.. we didnt get select... silence for 2 minutes

hr: what happend Hemadri.. ok tell me what is the major thing we have to do in the software field

me: customer satisfaction sir

hr: you are right.. that is the solution for the previous question... that means if you satisfy your customer to maximum extent then definitely he will be with you even in crises also... what do you say

me: yes sir you are right....

hr: ok..then..whose responsibility is that to take care of the customers satisfaction
me: its not a single persons responsibility sir... from lower level to higher level each and everybody wants to take the responsibility to achieve that...

hr: thats what I am expecting...
me: simple smile (thank god I impressed him there)....

hr: ok Hemadri what are your future plans? where you think your self after 5 years
me: sir I have an ambition to educate the poor background people who around me.. So I have to achieve a maximum position and serve them..

hr: good.. what comes besides the maximum position in general
me: money....

hr: no...
me: reputation....

hr: no..no..no..think well ( here I got the fear again)
me: responsibility

hr: well said..
you are correct... responsibility is the first one which comes besides the maximum position

hr: ok in which area you are interested.. I mean which subject do you like most and interested.....
me: Java sir (I put Java as area of interest in my resume)

hr: ok, rate your self from 1-5 in the Java proficiency...
me: I said....no doubt its 4 sir

hr: Sure..
me: Sure sir.....

hr: ok, if company people put you on Java projects directly can you handle
me: I will try my level best sir....

hr: ok Hemadri...thank you and ALL THE BEST (with a warm shakehand)

After an hour they announced the results and I am the one who got selected... I am very happy... I am going to step into indias NO:1 MNC TCS...

Friends dont fear in the intervies... always be confident.. keep smiles on your faces.. krack the job

meet you at TCS...
